The event is being held from 4:30PM to 7:30PM and includes appetizers, cocktails and live race viewing. Contests for prizes, such as artwork, golf packages, hotel stays, and dinner gift certificates, will take place as well.

As a Contractor (GC), we at Monarch Builders of SW Florida, Inc., feel it is important to have the proper liability and worker’s compensation insurance.  Insurance protects clients against personal injury, negligence and property damage, while workers are on your job.  I am frequently asked, when meeting with a potential client, if I am insured.  What is amazing is that, in the 45 years I have been in business, that only one person has actually asked to see my Certificate of Insurance.  We routinely supply these certificates to all of our clients, so they are assured that we are properly insured and active during the project timeframe.  Surprisingly, Florida’s minimum amount of insurance required for General Contractors is $300,000 bodily injury and $50,000 property damage. Before starting a remodeling project on your property, ask your GC how many other jobs is the company currently doing.  Then ask yourself, if my contractor is doing my job and the budget is $35,000, and the company is doing, let’s say 4 other jobs at an average of $25,000, obviously, the company is underinsured.   The best way to handle this question is to have the company’s insurance company give you a Certificate of Insurance, with your name and address as the “Certificate Holder”, prior to any work starting.   Protect yourself and protect your property. Monarch Builders carries a $1,000,000 bodily injury and property damage policy, with a $2,000,000 aggregate, which is registered with both Collier and Lee counties.
